1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following terms have the meanings set out below:

• "Teguh Keluarga", "we", "us", "our" refers to the legal practice operating as Teguh Keluarga, located at No. 11, Jalan USJ 10/1, 47620 Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia.
• "Service" refers to the family law services we provide, including Listening & Early Guidance, Family Documents & Arrangements, and Steady Representation & Support.
• "Client", "you", "your" refers to the individual or party engaging our Services.
• "Agreement" refers to the engagement between you and us, governed by these Terms together with any written engagement letter or service confirmation.
• "Website" refers to our website accessible at https://teguhkeledf.biz.
• "Fee" refers to the charges payable for each Service as stated on our Website or in our engagement letter.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using our Website, contacting us, or engaging our Services, you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into an agreement
• You have read and understood these Terms and Conditions
• You agree to be bound by these Terms in full

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not use our Website or engage our Services.

3. Service Description

Teguh Keluarga provides family law services in Malaysia, including:

• Listening & Early Guidance — an initial consultation to hear your circumstances and provide clear, considered direction (from RM 238)
• Family Documents & Arrangements — preparation and explanation of formal family arrangements and related documents (from RM 285)
• Steady Representation & Support — full case management and formal legal representation (from RM 327)

Our Services are available to individuals based in Malaysia. Enquiries from outside Malaysia are considered on a case-by-case basis. Nothing on our Website constitutes legal advice until a formal engagement has been confirmed in writing.

4. Client Responsibilities

When engaging our Services, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information relevant to your matter
• Notify us promptly of any changes to circumstances that may affect the matter
• Respond to our requests for instructions or information within a reasonable time
• Not use our Services for any unlawful purpose or in a manner that breaches any applicable law or regulation
• Treat our team with courtesy and respect throughout the engagement

5. Intellectual Property

All content on our Website, including text, layout, design, and materials produced for your matter (other than documents that form part of your legal record), remain the intellectual property of Teguh Keluarga. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use such content without our prior written consent. Documents prepared as part of your legal matter and delivered to you are for your personal use in connection with that matter only.

6. Fees and Payment

All fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Our starting fees are:

• Listening & Early Guidance: from RM 238
• Family Documents & Arrangements: from RM 285
• Steady Representation & Support: from RM 327

Where a matter requires additional work beyond the initial service scope, we will inform you of any additional fees before proceeding. We accept payment by bank transfer, online banking, or such other methods as agreed at the time of engagement.

Refunds: Fees paid for a completed initial consultation are non-refundable. For ongoing service engagements, fees are charged progressively. If you choose to discontinue an engagement, you will be invoiced for work completed to that point.

7. Service Delivery Terms

• Services are delivered on an appointment basis. Appointments must be confirmed in advance.
• We aim to respond to all enquiries and client communications within one business day.
• Timelines for document preparation and representation depend on the complexity of each matter and will be discussed with you at the outset.
• We will keep you informed of all material developments in your matter. You will not be asked to take any steps without prior discussion.
• We reserve the right to decline or withdraw from an engagement if we determine that a conflict of interest has arisen or if instructions become untenable under our professional obligations.

8. Confidentiality

All information shared with us in the course of an engagement is treated as strictly confidential. We will not disclose client information to any third party except as required by law, by court order, or with your explicit written consent. Our confidentiality obligations survive the termination of any engagement.

9. Disclaimers

General information on our Website is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. Legal advice is provided only within a formal engagement confirmed in writing.

While we bring care and professional skill to every matter, we cannot warrant specific legal outcomes. Family law proceedings involve factors outside our control including the conduct of other parties, court decisions, and legislative changes.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, our liability to you in connection with any Service is limited to the fees paid by you for that specific Service. We are not liable for:

• Indirect, consequential, or incidental loss or damage
• Loss of income, profit, or opportunity
• Events beyond our reasonable control (including court delays, acts of third parties, or force majeure events)

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Teguh Keluarga and its advocates from any claims, losses, or liabilities arising from your breach of these Terms, your provision of inaccurate or incomplete information, or your conduct in connection with a legal matter.

12. Termination

Either party may terminate an engagement by giving written notice. Upon termination:

• You will be invoiced for all work completed to the date of termination
• We will provide you with copies of documents relevant to your matter that have been produced
• We will take reasonable steps to minimise any prejudice to your matter arising from the termination

Clauses relating to confidentiality, intellectual property, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution survive termination.

13. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to first attempt resolution informally by contacting us at [email protected]. If a matter cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, it may be referred to mediation through the Malaysian Mediation Centre before any court proceedings are initiated. The courts of Malaysia shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any unresolved disputes.

14. General Provisions

• Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with any written engagement letter, constitute the entire agreement between the parties regarding the subject matter.
• Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
• Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
• Assignment: You may not assign your rights under this Agreement without our prior written consent.
• Notices: Formal notices should be sent to us in writing at our registered address or by email to [email protected].

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our Website or Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
